The anatomy of a pink flower

How come I have a springtime Azalea flowering in Autumn? And who knew how many different shades of pink make up pink flowers?
So many questions - and the biggie - What am I going to photograph in April? - I think I need a plan.... Its been an interesting month of rainbows
