Light Painting - the Orb by kjarn

Light Painting - the Orb

I flew up to Brisbane to attend the SEQ 365 meetup and had a great weekend. I was lucky enough to get to see a live demonstration of light painting.

This is another dabble off auto for my little camera.Thanks to @brizmako for his tuition, the use of his tripod and his wonderful light painting.
wow thats soo cool how do they do that??

This is great! Nicole and I often draw robots and light write rude comments to each other :)
I'll have to give the orb a go! Thanks for the inspiration :)

So cool! Great news that there was a 365 meet up in your neck of the woods! :-)

@lorihiro it was a great meet up but it wasn't in my neck of the woods, I flew from Sydney to Brisbane for the weekend.

@kjarn - noice! Really interesting to look at. I have no idea how it's done, of course, but I like it.

@jools it is amazing watching it happen and even though I've seen it with my own eyes I still can't work it out.
November 30th, 2011
@kjarn - no hope for me, then!
November 30th, 2011
@jools no hope of doing it, taking it, understanding it???
November 30th, 2011
@kjarn - all of the above :-)
November 30th, 2011
@jools don't be ridiculous.
November 30th, 2011
@kjarn - not ridiculous. You saw it being done and can't work it out. I haven't even seen it being done.

@jools what I don't understand is how what I saw came out the way it did in the photo and that's because I don't know how cameras work. A bit of reading up would solve that I assume.

Your version of this pic came out much better than mine did. This look natural and the glow over the tellytubby hill at the right looks beautiful. Mine looks like it's made of lollies :(

@brizmako show me your lollies.

@shelvey definitely not. My little camera was balanced on a wheat pack!
