The Mississippi in Davenport, IA. It was a rainy day, and my wife was off with the car shopping, so I was relegated to hanging out in the hotel room. This view is from the second floor of the hotel, thgouh the window. I can only imagine how much nicer it was from higher up.
Is that a river boat there on the right? I'm with you...I love the views from the higher floors of a hotel because I'm usually relegated to the ground on any given day! Have safe travels!
I feel as though I'm taking pictures around town for you, personally, now, knowing I have someone watching who loves it here! I just put all today's photos on my blog if you'd like an early peek...I think I wrote on one that it's the picture I'll post tonight...http://365daysintheyear.shutterfly.com/ You'll recognize the neighborhood!
I'm glad you're enjoying the Shutterfly pictures, Keith! And I appreciate the help jogging my memory where I'd been! Makes it worthwhile putting them up when I know someone stops by!
You must be goin' nuts not having a way to upload your pictures! Looking forward to seeing more! ...and yes, of course I'll take that iconic (cliche?) image of the Mahione Bay churches one of these days! It's always one of those "oooh ahhh" moments, I agree!
