Ok, I was passing the cemetery today and i've lived in Sutton all my life and have never been there (never had cause to fortunately). This was my first shot of the walk. I wanted to use the other photo i had of the old part but i liked this one more.
The title has a story behind it - my dad spent a lot of time in the hospital that overlooks this cemetery and he ended up on a geriatric ward as there were no other beds available - one day someone stood at the window and said - the sheep don't move much over there - dad was totally confused and realised they'd meant all the black and white headstones in the cemetery, he didn't have the heart to correct them.
(i was about 8 at the time - funny the things you remember)
@eleanor@moominmomma - thanks - i agree, we'd need to put an ad at the job centre for a Buffy! Mind you if it came with an Anthony Head as a librarian i wouldn't complain
funny story - but very true had they been sheep. My dad when in hospital told me about the game of golf he had had that day. I didn't stop him. He'd obviously played golf and was enjoying it all over again!! Nice shot of the graveyard - such calm places. Love the weeping tree - so appropriate.
I love the sun flare you caught. Terrific shot.
Beautiful picture.
