This is a collage from the Diamond Jubilee Concert held infront of the Palace.
There were some great performances and the video effects projected onto the palace were fab (mainly the Madness set - they played on the roof).
The Queen was late arriving, presumably she'd been to see the Duke in hospital. Prince Charles did a lovely speech at the end and the crowd chanted 'Philip' when they were told he was in hospital.
The night ended with the Queen placing a large diamond into a holder which then lit the 6m flame on the torch. There were some 4,200 more lit at the same time around the UK and world. Then there was a 4 minute firework display to finish.
Today I bought some cakes for my meeting tomorrow night. I had tea at my parents and called in at the jam session. I'd asked Phil for some dog training lessons for Mum and Lola and was upset by his response. There are genuine reasons why Mum can't get to classes every week, but he just saw it as excuses and not being committed to sort the issues out and it was a waste of his time. When I said I couldn't pick her up, take her, wait, take her back and get home (it would be too much for me) he just laughed and turned his back. This really annoyed me - don't bash me as I have an illness, it's the fastest way to lose my friendship.
