The Death of an Elm

Wednesday we have scheduled a tree service to cut down what was once a thriving, beautiful Elm Tree. It's been sick for quite awhile and there isn't anything we can do about it and it's become unsafe as large branches have snapped and fallen without warning.

We are hoping that with the removal of this tree we begin seeing more grass grow in our yard, as that has been a major issue for us as well. I never realized the luxury of a beautiful green yard until I didn't have one. As first time homeowners, we weren't aware of what all a yard needed to thrive. After doing a lot of research we realized we should have been doing a lot more! Now we are left with a yard that has only maybe 40% grass and the rest dirt. Having four dogs means they track a lot of that dirt in, so growing grass would definitely help with the amount of dirt coming inside!
Sad abut the tree--You may hve to buy sod to get quick dog dirt proofing

Great tree, well captured in its last glory. Hope the grass grows quickly :-)
