Sadly young koalas do sometimes fall out and are injured. But for the amount of hanging on limbs they do and their thick bodies and short limbs, they are amazingly tenacious!

Yes, I have 14 acres and have been regenerating koala habitat here for the past 5 years.
So all the photos are taken on my property. The koala population does come and go through here. Last Nov I began a studied effort to go out koala spotting every day to find out how many move through here and how long they might stay. It's not perfect, I know I can't find some that are actually here some days, but it's sure fun!
