Who would think any animal can sleep in this kind of position?
This fellow did sit up and watch me come near the tree then decided I wasn't worth any effort and just kind of slumped down into this position and back to sleep.

Never underestimate the low energy composition of eucalypts ...
There is an urban myth that they become drunk on the leaves, but they don't. They just get so little energy value they sleep up to 22 hours a day! and as anyone who can observe them can see, they sleep any old how :)
