I didn't even realise until I got back to the computer that Corky had her little joey out of her pouch! Only visible on the first photo I took as she must have swiped it back in there so fast.
This little joey looks to me to be barely 6 months old and I would guess it is one of the first times it has been out of that protection.
Pity the little cutey didn't turn and give a smile for the camera before being packed away...
Bertha was down in one of the young tree areas, the first time I've seen a koala there, but her joey was still well packed away.
@cruiser@happysnaps@salza thanks for enjoying and for the fav :)
Funny even though I've been waiting for a glimpse, I kept hoping to just find a head peeking out, I did not expect to see the joey right out just yet.
@gilbertwood@joeslady Funny how you wait and wait but think it will be a while and suddenly there was that tiny bundle perched up there about 30 metres off the ground! made my day, glad you enjoyed :) thank you for the fav!
@oldjosh usually they are in pouch completely for around 6 months. Then they start to come out just a little bit and that increases over the next few months. By 12 months they cannot fit back into the pouch at all, but usually are full time out of the pouch well before that.
Look forward to seeing more !!! Fav.
