Besides the detail of the koala, I love the detail of scratch and puncture marks in the tree bark too.
@rickster549 yep an important part of surveying to detect koalas is to check trees for these distinctive marks :) @mbrutus yes a little closer - he was lower in that tree, but he was in a spot without foliage all around him, so altogether I was probably only about 30 m away from him, whereas with most photos I'm more like 50 - 60 m away between the height in the tree and my distance from the tree :)
