@pyrrhula the males are very territorial. koalas live in colonies which means they have territory and a kind of family group. a colony may span over many km and yet only hold a dozen koalas, depending on the quality of food trees.
There are alpha males, then there are males that just live in the colony and probably don't breed, and there are travellers - males that don't live in a colony but travel looking for opportunities to breed or oust an alpha male. So males will end up fighting and they use those very long sharp teeth and of course those claws.
Females have territories but they will share them and I haven't known them to fight each other. Legion is not an alpha male, but he is young, I think he is around 3 - 4 years old. I suspect he may actually attempt to become an alpha over the next year or two. He has been beaten in fights by both Zorro and Jordan, but it was when he was quite young and he has laid low since then (probably a very smart boy!)
