Finally Maxine's joey has popped a head out into the world at large. She is eating dinner and I was able to do the math and figure this joey was conceived on new years day (or maybe that night) as Legion and Maxine spent the day in the same tree (video starts with some photos from that day).
Such promise having 3 females on the property conceive and produce healthy joeys! You might notice the head of this joey is slightly browner than Maxine's leg. That made me certain Legion is the father as he has a very dark brown head and this joey looks like taking that lead!

Wonderful to see Maxine's new addition . The joey looks healthy and with rather a big nose -- does this indicate the possibility of being a boy ? While watching a prog on TV tonight ,I was amazed to find out that the Koala has nearly identical finger prints to humans !
@beryl I'm not going to try and guess boy or girl just yet - I could run a competition though couldn't I? :) That is a good schnoz on that joey I do agree tho!
Yes their hands are so amazing - I've examined them closely when at the vet with one under anaesthetic - the pads are like the most luxurious leather you could imagine and they are jet black but yet you can see the fingerprints - quite stunning!
