@fbailey joey just started about a week ago. pregnancy is 35 days (yep), then tiny little jelly bean sized joey is born and crawls into pouch. Drinks milk and grows for around 6 months.
Then mum produces a special kind of poo that joey eats to get bacteria in the gut. Does this for a week or so and voila joey comes out of the pouch and starts eating leaves :)
@fr1da yes their incredible differences to anything else just go on and on and on. now if we can only get to keep them alive as the government sanctions their destruction ....
