While we had Krissy under anaesthetic I got a good clear photo of the koala foot as they are indeed fascinating.
One thumb with no claw.
Two toes fused together but with two claws which makes a brilliant grooming tool.
Two regular toes with claws.
They can grip well with these, particularly when reaching up with their arms to reach leaves, and when sleeping in those tricky places.
Thank you for the many lovely comments on my photos.
Great close up of the foot.
( Pruned willows has to be pruned every 3-5 years once you did. If not , the new grow get to big and damage the tree if they breack off by stormy weather.)
@30pics4jackiesdiamond hey thanks Jackie! This is a wild koala however so I don't feel he can be part of a pet challenge. He has been captured temporarily for treatment of a disease and will be back in the wild, most likely next week :) I'm so thrilled you came across this image and thought of your challenge!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond thank you so much, he has responded well on the outside, we are just waiting on test results to be sure he is clear now :) thanks for hosting the challenge it is getting lots of entries and looks fun!
