FoR challenge - the line unfolds a story if you have a moment.
Yesterday I wondered how I was going to make this week all with leading lines. I rose just before 5am as is usual and padded down the hall to the kitchen in the dark, to turn on the kettle for my pot of tea.
I heard the shrieking that makes your heart turn right over, it sounds so eerily like a woman is being attacked. But knew, even as I flung a window open, that indeed it was a koala. I went onto the verandah and listened. (yes I pondered racing to find my 'head' light, and donning sturdy shoes and oh hell it's pitch dark and all you get is shining eyes anyway)
Time for tea and a bit of light in the sky before I need get too excited.
Once it was light enough to see, I headed to check the tree I was pretty sure the noise came from, and as if by magic, my eye was drawn across the line of this branch to see a slightly apprehensive looking Maxine out on a limb...
