Notice the twist in his tongue! Summer is out on the end of a limb, with Bullet trying to figure a branch that can hold his weight and get close enough to have at him. Summer is screaming like a girl - it's quite a sound!
The male koalas really have to do quite a series of jousting sessions to work out their place in the hierarchy. There are 2 outcomes - either a place is established, whether low or high, or it will be time to move on.
I will have some video up on youtube tomorrow, too tired after a long day at the koala care centre today.

@rickster549@taffy@creativenature72@brigette@lenanau thanks for the lovely comments. he isn't angry, hence my title, he is screaming because he is being threatened by a much older male :) male koalas have to really battle out their positions and it's a loud process. I'm about to upload the next photo in this sequence which will include some youtube and you will see he is in fact screaming :)
