This is Bullet and his posture and expression sitting very quietly in a tree just a little up the gully from Jordan who was bellowing.
Male koalas have a complex social structure. There is only one alpha, but of course there are many males in a colony.
I have to admit I'd feel a bit daunted hearing that bellow coming up the path if I were sitting in a tree. However, I've seen Bullet do the same bellow and put the youngsters in their place, so what goes around comes around I guess.
Thank you for the awesome questions and comments on my photos.
How does that expression go? "Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug." I guess sometimes you are the bellower and sometimes you're on the receiving end.
