@sdutoit Thank you Sylvia. My property has not been in danger but that Rappville fire was only 70km away. It is true that we lost hundreds of koalas, around 50,000 hectares of prime koala habitat. An entire town burned down, thousands of livestock died and countless wildlife. We are all still stunned I think.
We only got about a dozen koalas into care and only one mum and joey made it. All the rest have died out there as getting into a fire area just isn't possible for so long after the flames are gone. thanks for your concern :)
