Thank you for your lovely comments and concern. We are still safe. Yesterday 100 fires across the state, this morning 85. The wind suddenly stopped late yesterday afternoon and I realised how long it had been raging once it had been still for an hour or so straight. Hopefully we can have a break from the wind and these fires can be slowed down significantly.
Love that little face peering out of the branches - hope the winds will continue to abate and end the destruction which we witnessed on our UK .Tv tonight .
Glad to hear you are safe from bushfires at the moment. We have been in the Southern Highlands for the weekend and saw one fire near Tuggerah on the way down and two on the way home near Lake Macquarie. Fingers crossed they don't get as bad as up north.
