I love position of that right foot - just the toe holding on :)
Thank you for the lovely messages of support and concern during this time of fires and drought
@robz oh yes and yes :) this is Hugo. I do put each koala name in the tags since Richard was smart enough to suggest it. I identify every koala using nose patterns. His is quite distinctive, up close the wavy edges of the pink give me good detail.
They do also definitely have their own personalities, and also koalas have personality types, though they have only been loosely categorised. eg alpha males tend to show a lot of similar traits.
@koalagardens Ah - thanks Katrina - I'll know to look at your tags next time. It's interesting to know that they have personality traits over and above their categories. Makes perfect sense too eg a Staffy is not always a just a Staffy! I'm sure our Zoe has personal characteristics of her own. LOL - too many of them... Thanks for the info. Cheers Rob
I agree with Richard- he looks very scholarly here. "Now my young koala students, today I shall demonstrate how important it is to keep the strength in your toe grip..." Great shot!
@onewing great question and in fact the colony does change more often than I would have thought.
At present there are 6 adults and 2 joey's. However I see around 15 individuals each month but some of those I only see once or twice as they pass through. I count them as a true colony member if I tend to see them every month.
