Def black view needed - I am more convinced that ever that only private landowners have the power to really change the landscape and fast.
Spent Australia Day having some awesome conversations with people about how this could happen.
Thank you for the wonderful support and interest in my project, you all help keep me going some days.
Well, I’m getting there very slowly. I immediately recognized Angel from her nose pattern. Now, if only all the Koalas would look at me, from close up, and right in the eye, I might have a chance.
I was so proud of myself for remembering to look at the nose and then recognizing Angel's pattern! Yes, I absolutely agree with you- change and preservation is more likely to happen individually and locally rather than by big government. You go girl!! Pretty portrait!
@olivetreeann that is why I have a file of every nose I've seen, and when I'm not sure if I know a koala, or when a new one seems to have come along, I have to get all sherlock holmes on it to be sure if I have someone new or someone returning after a long time. I'm so glad you are enjoying this - I can't tell you how happy that makes me!
A brilliant close up of Angel, almost a pleading look on her face. I wish millions more would be able to see this and help to change the environment for the Koalas.
@teriyakih we certainly don't know exactly what their eyesight is like, but their behaviour indicates they don't have awesome depth perception, but many believe their eyesight is similar to ours.
Certainly they were designed to live in the canopies of dense forest, so their eyes, and the interpretation of sight by their brain, is quite different.
