bluey

This is actually the first time I've seen a blue tongue lizard on the property. They are a common native and so beautiful. Pity he didn't show me his tongue as they are very blue.
They are very slow moving and docile. For this reason many people pick them up and handle them on finding them and they are indeed very easy to handle. However they do not necessarily enjoy being handled as they are wild animals, so I did not pick this fella up :)

Wow. I would think they are at the mercy of a lot of things, including people if they pick them up. Do they try to take them home as well? I hope not endangered? Lovely for sure

They always freak me out a bit, as they look a bit like snakes. But they do have an impressive blue tongue.
