a topaz plug-in by koalagardens

a topaz plug-in

YouTube sent me a recommended video on an app called Topaz AI Denoise which will act as a plug-in for LightRoom.
I thought the demonstration in the video was too good to be true, so downloaded the trial version and thought my bowerbird from yesterday would be the perfect sample.
Well I stand converted, I've seen the light!
If you flick between the upload yesterday (which I had taken through PS Camera Raw) and this one, you can see it has definitely removed significant noise!
I'm guessing I will end up purchasing this app as I often have to shoot with high ISO due to light conditions.
I love seeing it coming around the corner ☺️

Very nice!

@koalagardens Indeed there is much less noise in this one, but at the cost of reduced detail, especially in the shadows and the dark feathers... it's a trade-off I guess.

It has certainly decreased the noise.

Great shot! I have Topaz Denoise AI, it typically does a great job. I don't use it on every shot but sometimes the noise drives me nuts, and that's when I put it to work

It has also done a good job of removing the faint lines that were, I think, caused by shooting through the screen.

Sweet capture.

Excellent shot

@vignouse you are so right - I may need to learn to use it better too. In the first version you could see water drops on the black feathers. but I decided the trade off in this instance was worth that loss.
