I started reading about lady beetles and we have more than 500 species of them in Australia. How fascinating - they are so incredibly shiny and this summer seem to be incredibly prolific here. Thank you for the lovely comments and awesome questions on my photos.
A nice shot. But I'm glad you posted it late at night, here in the state, so that the children can't see how your Australian lady bugs get to carrying on. ;-)
@gilbertwood@hermann in this one garden area, with lots of milkweed around I would have had literally 100 or more! so I guess they all came here for the summer vacation? :)
