For the rainbow challenge. The Rhoeo is commonly called Moses in the cradle because the flower as you can see here looks rather like a little basket with something wriggling inside, and even though this is not a water plant, you can imagine it as being vaguely 'bullrush-like'.
The topside of the leaves are green, the underside purple and the flowers purple as you can see. This is the large one, but I have the dwarf one as well and it makes an awesome garden border - such a showy colour.
It is not an Aussie native, but it does not become invasive so I enjoy it and have a lot of it. I actually brought it here from my previous home, so I have a long history with this beauty. It seemed a good ending to the purple days of March :)
