Oh my! Very small frog or quite large birds!
For me it is a sad story of hawks and smaller birds like sparrows but, I guess, it all depends on which side you see yourself. Watching a documentary on two eagles trying to raise their chicks I found myself rooting for the eagles to catch something to bring home to the youngsters. Trailing off into philosophical thought here...
@gardencat yep I love the balanced ecosystem - you have to realise that predators keep the prey species healthy and thriving. so healthy predators here like green snakes, magpies, kookaburras, means a wonderful thriving population of all the little mammals and reptiles they predate on. if the predators look stressed and unhealthy, then their prey are in trouble 🤗
