@wendyfrost they didn't have any real predators for tens of millions of years. now they have cars and dogs and foxes to contend with, and with so much habitat gone, they find themselves facing them far too often
@marlboromaam they do often come down to change trees, but once upon a time when this land was forest they never needed to do that, as they could move through the canopy. 🌳🌳🌳 and of course once upon a time there were no dogs and cars either!
if you mean by 'relieve themselves' to defecate, then goodness no, they pass hundreds of scat pellets a day, nearly like a tap on a slow drip, both awake and asleep. they do all in the treetops 🤣
