My first selfie - of sorts! I'm 34 weeks preggo tomorrow, so time to get out of this Oman heat and head back to Canada (while the airlines will still let me fly) to start nesting for baby time.
It was a bit tricky to get the shadow just right so that it's not overly obvious that I'm holding the camera to my eye. I like that the long evening shadow makes me look nice and tall as I'm feeling very huge and awkward lately!
@phoenixrising ~ We'll see. Lawrence is just on a 6 month contract right now, so depends if they need him longer or not. If yes, then not 'till September at least - because Baby will be tiny and Canadian summers rock and Oman summers do not (though I hear their winters do)!
@mah68 ~ Mere, I'll be happy when we get there... not looking forward to the journey. Beam me up! @lyoungs1023 ~ Thanks Elizabeth! @kwind ~ Thanks! I got lucky with the ground texture - I was just looking for a large, uncluttered spot (as the the shadows were pretty long), and our parking lot was my only option. Decided to put the arrow to use ;) @sabrinaromahn ~ Thanks Sabrina! It'll depend on my husband's work contract - temps in the mid 20s throughout the winter sure are appealing! @pien27 ~ Thanks Pien!
Zoe, Mags, Michael, Karoline, beachradish, R L, Jeff, Pam, Debbi, Samuel, Shauna, Tunde, Edie, Jen ~ thanks for the comments... I have 365 to thank for this pic for sure, as I was pretty stuck on ideas on this day, but then spotted my big belly in the lovely long shadows - then it was just a matter of finding an open area to capture it. So not premeditated at all, but I have been looking at shadows more as I've seen some pretty cool ones on this site!
Shauna - we're expecting a girl - congrats on your upcoming baby boy!
