Big week for Dexter - first bites of food! He started last Friday with whole rice cereal, and has tried pears, prunes, and peas. Pears are the winner so far. Peas, not so much.

I liked this particular shot because Dex is pointing to the Gerber spoon (and his big smile!). I wish I would have had more light in order to decrease aperture for greater DOF to better show the Gerber label on the jar... alas.
This is so cute...he is sooo happy...how sweet is that. I understand the lack of light as I live where it's gray! I love this! You did a great job...my only comment would be to put the jar closer to him (if he would let u) so u could read the label..it is a fav for me!
@nanderson ~ that's a good idea for my DOF problem, though at one point I did move the jar closer and then he thought it would be fun to play with it. I might have gone that direction, but didn't want to clean up broken glass!
Hello Kristin - I just wanted to say how much I like this image. When I short-listed the finalists for Get Pushed128 I included both this one and your Apple advert and then had to choose between them. The Apple advert is brilliant, almost indistinguishable from the original but I went with this one. Why? Because you had 100% control witl the Apple one but here you had to work with your delightful Dexter to create a similar image. This is a total, charming success... and the Gerber jar was out of focus in the original as well!
