Did you know that your dishwasher (if you have one) has a filter that you should be cleaning once a month? I've never cleaned a dishwasher filter.... guess I'll have to start now.
This part is the drain water pump... decided to attempt a 2nd home appliance repair...the first was the clothes dryer that quit heating about 6 weeks ago... and the second was the dishwasher very happy to have both appliances working without having to call in an expert or buy a new appliance.
@bkbinthecity@wakelys@pdulis@dutchothotmailcom thanks for the comments... I thought the part looked interesting and I wanted to remember my successful repairs. The bubble wrap covers a mirror tile so that may be the reason I got the reflection.
It's amazing what we can do on our own - with the help of Google. I also discovered I needed to clean the dishwasher filter - wish the salesman would have told me! Great job on doing your own repairs!
The washing machine for clothes has a filter too... I do not have a dishwashing machine, but I plan to buy one quite soon. And this is good to know. i mean it is good for me to know this information about the filter. maybe it is good for you to know my plans, as well :D
@onewing Thanks Babs... the dryer parts were much cheaper and an easier decision... but Iām glad to have it working again!!!
@milaniet Melanie... that is too funny but a great idea if you are not using it.
@bubblequeen Melvina...hmmm... explain please... Iām dying to know!
@365karly1 Karly... you are so right... you can teach yourself to do practically anything these days... I love this.
@kwind Thanks so much KWind! It made me very happy... doing my happy dance now.
@monikozi Thanks Moni... You know... Iāve never found a washing machine filter... guess Iād better investigate that... when I had the dryer taken apart I looked for a different filter other than the lint screen you clean after every load and never found one... I found a world of lint inside and cleaned it out before reassembly though.
@pusspup Thanks Wylie... You know some things Iām really good about this but the dishwasher was clearly not on that list before... it is know. Iāll get the aggravating monthly reminder to check it... guess that is good though.
@k9photo Thanks...I thought so... once the outer casing came off.
@joysabin Joy... that is too funny... thanks for following and commenting. Iāve followed back & Iām looking forward to seeing your work.
@jgpittenger You are most welcome Jane.

@santina I agree... it is awesome that your husband is a repairman... he has the skills and expertise which is nice!
@craftymeg Thanks Margaret... you are lucky to have a human dishwasher... no filters to clean haha!
@thewatersphotos Thanks Gary... it is amazing what you can learn online and figure out how to do... fun!
@jb030958 Thanks Jennie... it is fun and challenging to figure out what is wrong and attempt to fix it.
