Remembering my "Pop" who passed away in 2010. He was a career military man who began as a Aviation Cadet in the USN, to a 2nd Lt. in the USAAF, and finally retired as a Lt. Col. in the USAF.
Great tribute to your dad...My dad was an Army Sergeant in the Tenth Mountain Division, WWII...skied the Italian Alps and Apennines with his squad as a frontline light machine gunner infantrymen. My dad was awarded the Bronze Star which I have along with his other medals.
@milaniet Thanks so much Milanie... My Pop is the one who got me interested in photography by giving me his rangefinder Olympus and twin lens Zeiss Icon when I was still in high school. Next came the darkroom setup!
@pusspup Thanks Wylie... The serious look is persistent in all his military photos but he was quite a jovial and humorous man... and he never met a stranger.
