2015 04 11 Rhodes Memorial

Rhodes Memorial, hewn from Cape granite quarried on Table Mountain, was built to the designs of architect Sir Herbert Baker. It consists of a massive staircase with 49 steps (one for each year of Rhodes’s life) leading from a semi-circular terrace up to a rectangular U-shaped monument formed of pillars. Eight bronze lions flank the steps leading up to the memorial.

Good perspective. Great spot for some wide angle captures.
