Prednisone Face

No need to comment. After the four day swim meet my son had a check up at BC Children's Hospital. They doctor tells us his Colitis is in remission!! Very good news! He took his last dose of the nasty drug Prednisone and I'm hoping his big puffy face will return to normal soon. This is an awful picture but it does demonstrate how he filled out while on the drug for 3.5 months!

Prednisone is a form of cortisone hence the swelling. It is also a beneficial treatment for poison ivy as well which reduces a lot of days of intense itching.
