What a crazy wildlife day!! I witnessed this eagle SWIM butterfly stroke while carrying what we think is a giant jellyfish. I've never seen anything like it! It must have been too heavy to carry to he swam instead. Unfortunately by the time I ran for the camera I missed the swimming part. He started to enjoy his catch when another eagle swooped down and took over. I got a bunch of shots and went to check them out on the computer. A few minutes later, I look out the computer room window and I see several birds flying around. There were now 7 eagles eating the jellyfish. Whatever it is it must be good, or food is very scarce. I looked on you Facebook page and see that whatever it is, it drew a large crowd of eagle. Which is interesting. When we were driving across a causeway this morning we saw three good sized birds sitting in a tree near the lake. They could have been eagles or Osprey. Didn't get a good look and there is no safe place to pull off and look.
When I follow the link, I just see the eagles album.
