this is a stunning portrait - I hope she feels better and her spirits lift - the ups and downs of life - as long as we can pick ourselves up and keep on going :)
Poor baby... I remember those days well. And I get plenty of experience with them now. I hope tomorrow is a brighter day for her. Beautiful shot of a beautiful girl. :)
Oh, that is hard to look at and she is not even mine! It IS tough being a teenager...so is being the mom of a teenager!! Hope tomorrow is better and there are smiles all around!
@anazad511 I was too, Ana. She was just home from swimming and had a towel wrapped around her. We were chatting about life and the tear rolled down. My intelligent, beautiful baby lacks confidence sometimes so I did my best to build her up!! She's feeling better already!
That is such an amazing portrait! I do hope she's feeling much better now...Instant Fav! And I do hope we get a smiling portrait of hers soon enough :)
Ahh! Even though I was never a teenage girl, I helped raise two daughters and have 3 granddaughters understand all too well then things they are faced with. Great capture of the emotion Kim!
So difficult to grow up !
Being a teenager is sometimes hard but they are learning and experimenting life and they are so interesting, with the solid mum and family she has I have no doubt she will go through this melancholia...very nice capture
This is so spot on! A fabulous portrait of her and the feelings she must be going through, we seem to be going through these kind of days all the time, all day so hard....
An amazing capture here! You really caught the mood in this shot! Hope that everything get's better for her, remember the sun will always rise! Beautiful capture :)
@stimuloog No, she wasn't angry at all. She wanted to see them as I took them. I did post it without showing her and was a little nervous but she was totally fine about it when she looked at the site this morning. She's having a much better day!
Beautiful shot! She has lovely lashes. I'm glad to hear that she is feeling better. Being a teenager is like riding a roller coaster, I wouldn't want to do that again. :)
This is a beautiful portrait and as easily interpreted as being reflective instead of sad if I hadn't read the title and thread. You're clearly a good mom who knows what to say! And, like Ana said, I was so surprised that being sad, she'd still let you take the photo!
She probably feels much better knowing that her picture is Trending! :-)) It is tough being a teenager, but fortunately most of us outgrow those awkward years, especially with the help of caring and understanding parents! So hard to know your place in the world....she is indeed beautiful, and she will come to realize that!
Great shot.......sorry to hear she had a tough day. Teenage years are like that, I'm glad to go through them only once myself.........confidence is hard to instil, I'm still looking for it in my early 30s.
