Canada Day Fireworks

Taken last night from my patio. Not the best shot but the fireworks show was downtown, at least 12km away. It does look better against black, if you have time.

FAV. Wonderful capture and timing. The fireworks season in the area where I live starts next Sunday with the feast of the parish of The Sacred Heart of Mary. I will miss the fireworks because of the World Cup.

Oh! I think that is fantastic! I am excited to take some shots of fireworks tomorrow night at our July 4th celebration. I have a feeling, though, that it might be an exercise in frustration. I should do some reading about taking fireworks pics. May I ask what settings you used?

@tabarlett My settings probably aren't the best because I was miles away and holding the camera. A tripod would help I think. You can see the settings if the click of "View Info" Next to the Exif line in the little box below the thumbnails.
