My daughter had three girlfriends sleepover last night. I suggested we go to the beach and make some silhouette art. Kennedy gave me "the look" but the other three jumped at the opportunity so off we went. I suspect their parents don't take photos of them every other day. Ha ha!!
Thanks for your comments and fav's on yesterday's Blue Heron shot. I highly recommend people taking their cameras in kayaks. It's really not that tricky (if the water is flat). I had it on my lap the whole time with a small towel over it. I didn't feel at all nervous. If you have someone to hand it to you once you're inside the boat that would be even safer.
I love this for the beauty of the shot itself, for the joy of childhood friendships and for the memories this will bring all these girls when they are old. Fav.
Our family can see our obsession as tiresome but bring someone in from outside and it's all new to them. Fabulous photo. Hope the girls loved it. If they did it's probably all over social media.
Love doing these type of shots. I put my camera in a lunch bag I used to use for work and it sits between my legs in my kayak. The cover keeps it dry and it's easy to grab when I need it. Took me most of last summer before I switched from my P&S to my DSLR and I never looked back.
