I must start off by saying THANK YOU for your amazing response to yesterday's "Reflecting Tofino" shot. I think I have 45 fav's after 24 hours! I truly appreciate you taking the time to check out my stuff!
This shot of my husband and I was taken about 45 minutes before yesterday's. The lady at our hotel suggested we go to this beach for the sunset. I set up the tripod and remote trigger and soon discovered its battery was dead so we used the self timer mode instead. The spot was pretty but not what I had envisioned so shortly after this we packed up and headed back to the hotel. I was telling my husband how I had wanted the sky to be bright orange and dramatic. Someone must have been listening because as we got closer to the hotel I saw orange. We drove slightly past our place and set up on Chesterman Beach and I got the sky I had envisioned.
This is such a beautiful shot. Any couple would be happy to have a photo like this of themselves. I'm glad you made the most of your beautiful surroundings :)
We should all have a romantic shot like this of us & our partners .......we could sit in our chairs when we get old & decrepit & look at our photo on the wall & dream of love & romance gone by!
This may not have the sky you wanted but it is still a beautiful soft sunset. I love the cloud formations and the silhouettes on the beach. Lovely capture.
What a wonderful picture for your anniversary! The sky is perfect, even if not the fiery orange red that you envisioned!! One would never know that you had to rush back to get this shot.....perfect!!
@panthora It wasn't our anniversary (it's June 15). We just went away for the night to get away from the kids! Ha ha! He works away a lot so it's nice to have time to just be us once and a while.
