Vatican Stairs by kwind

Vatican Stairs

Wow... your response to yesterday's shot was amazing. Thank you all so much. After the church we went to the Vatican Museum to see the Sistine Chapel. These incredible stairs are the exit to the Museum. They look better surrounded by black. I wish I had my tripod, a wide angle lens and the ability to hold back people. Maybe next trip! Taken May 19, 2015.
Awesome shot

This is stunning. Although I'm sure you'd rather not have the person in the photo, it does give a reference for the scale of this staircase.

June 19th, 2015
Its always good to get a shot like this to photograph but getting the focus right is perhaps not so easy! You have here and that guy halfway down is beautifully in focus! fav
June 19th, 2015
@californialover It didn't take long at all actually . There was no one there at first and then my husband headed down (that's him in the shot). I took about 5 quick shots and then more people showed up and it was too cluttered. I really needed a different lens.
June 19th, 2015
Great shot Kim, the inclusion of your husband gives a good sense of scale.
June 19th, 2015
Came back to fav. I really like your angle.

June 20th, 2015
Wow. Well you certainly got rid of the people, but as Paula says, keeping your man in the frame gives a great sense of scale.
