While researching our trip to Rome I learned about this amazing mural by Italian artist Blu. He used 47 windows to create 27 giant and unique faces on a large warehouse. We took a taxi and I got a few shots but it was a busy traffic time so many are rather cluttered. Be sure to check out this link to see it all... http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2014/11/blu-mural-rome/ This shot was taken exactly a month ago. Wow, I can't believe it's been that long already.
I must take a moment to again thank you for your encouraging comments and fav's on my staircase shot from yesterday. The man in the image was my hubby.
@yellowdog We stayed near Villa Borghese. We took a taxi here and the guy waited for five minutes while I took the shots and then he dropped us off in the delightful Trastavere area's Main square. It's a must see too. I think it cost around 15 euros.
That's very cool. It can be annoying to have lots of cars around when trying to take street shots but in this case I think they work very well with the artwork.
This is soooooooooo cool!!! I often thought about doing something weird to our house but John won't let me!! I wanted to paint it heather and have dark purple trim but he said it would look like an easter egg!! LOL I could do this, that would be so cool!!! Look out paint store!! Huge FAV!
I am constantly amazed at the creativity of humankind. Here's a great example of seeing beyond what is there and turning it into something fantastical! fav
What an amazing mural, and so glad you got to see it!! Too bad about the crowds and the traffic, but they seem unavoidable in places like these. I find that having the optimal conditions when traveling is not always easy....thanks for pointing this out....maybe the next time I am in Rome!
