We left Edmonton at 4:40am and got home at 9:40pm. We drove continuously except for a couple of bathroom breaks and a two hour visit with my relatives in Kamloops. I'm still in shock I drove the whole way! We spotted this massive elk on the side of the road (you can just see the pavement in the foreground). We pulled up across and took a few shots. It was beautiful! We saw another about fifteen minutes further south but unfortunately it had just been hit by a car and was dead. Several hours later we nearly hit a black bear. Thank goodness my car has good brakes. I checked the car's grill afterwards has I suspected there might be some fur, as we got THAT close toconnecting.
Super shot and you must be worn out after your long drive. So mukch activity on the way too.
David used to drive between New South Wales and Victoria once a month for 2 years and he did the journey in one go. (1200 km). If we do the trip now we go slowly and take a few days doing the same journey. Of course, we are retired now, so no rush.
