This was a family project... My son got in trouble at school so after confiscating his electronics I forced him to come to the beach and search for round smooth flat rocks. Then my daughter and I painted them. The hubby helped by paying for the paint! It's Family Day here in British Columbia and the sun is shining. We are going to go for a walk together soon.
So bright & cheerful, I love the sharpness & clarity of each stone! A nice punishment, better by far than being sent to their room where they would just fume!
They are lovely and bright, and I'm sure you'll make good use of them for other projects too. I hope you all had a lovely walk (and enjoyed the sunset! We had a beautiful one here tonight).
Nice way to put him to work on something meaningful! Haha. Love the family project...wish we had done more of those when the boys were growing up.... love the colors
great project. years ago when we lived by the sea, we collected stones and made zen stone stacks as presents. I miss those days... wonderful bright collection.
What a great family effort! Love the story behind it and it is apt to have painted them with hearts; works for your themed month and for the family bonding time!
You are so tough on him -- forcing him to go to the beach. I don't know about this usually harsh punishment! ha ha I understand perfectly with my 11 year old son who loves his electronics also. Lovely rocks!!! I bet he had a good time.
Lovely colours and comp Kim!
A great result when family works as a team love the colours.
