Leftovers

My hubby has been busy making wooden reindeer in our boat shed. I was determined to use my camera today despite the yucky weather so I went in search of a shot indoors. I arranged all his leftover pieces in a pile.

A great find and capture . Remember in the 1960 thies I bought one in Finland ( Suomi) for a sovenir for mij brother. It seem they are collected now. ( Also have a Bear myself)

Great soft colour, and the growth rings are a story all by themselves. Extra marks for lying down on the floor (because D800 in live view is ... well .. mediocre ...).

Using the 35mm to best advantage, too, I see.

@scotthouston I never lied down... Just set the camera roughly where I thought it should go and put it in auto focus. Used the floor as my tripod. Totally blind shot. Took a couple of tries to get the right composition.
