International Market Place

If you've ever been to Waikiki you know about the International Market place - a fabulous touristy area. It's been there forever!! Well a few years ago they decided to close it and build a mall.... yes a mall!! They kept the giant banyan tree and filled the space around it with high end stores. It's so sad. The best thing about the new place is this 3 store opening with lights hanging down. I used my iPhone to get this.

Fantastic B&W image. The little white dots around the outer edge add so much. Sad story indeed about the old marketplace being replaced by a mall. Ugh.
