Scrap Metal by kwind

Scrap Metal

I took this the other day but was in the middle of my driftwood sculpture series so decided to save it. Barges pass by daily but I can only recall one other time one was loaded exclusively with old vehicles. I thought you might get a kick out of it! Best viewed large! Happy Weekend everyone!!
oh my!
was watching a program about the Aquatrain last night - that was amazing!

The barge looks about as beat up as its cargo. Just think, each of those vehicles has a story. Makes me wonder what some of them might be.

This is impressive. I am always in awe how much stuff these barges can transport. And how much waist there is from the humans that we don't even think about.

That's quite a stack of old cars! Any idea where the barge is headed or what will become of all that metal?

That represents a LOT of car waste. I do hope it can recycled in some way.
