Ponta da Piedade

Ponta da Piedade is a group of rock formations near the town of Lagos, in Portugal's Algarve region. There are yellow-golden clifflike rocks up to 20 meters high and the most beautiful coloured crystal clear water. We walked down the 181 steps to the platform at the ocean's level and took a half hour ride in one of the boats you can see in the centre of the image through various grottos and under rock arches. This place was stunning! On my top 10 list of favourite places in the world (that I've seen so far)!
