Merida

Our last full day in Europe was spent travelling from Seville, Spain to a Lisbon airport hotel. We made two spots along the way. This photo shows our first destination - Merida, Spain and its Roman amphitheatre. It wasn't nearly as big as the Colosseum in Rome but was quite impressive and well preserved.

Great shot- this structure reminds me both of some of the places I saw in Greece and also Sycthopolis in Israel- lots of Corinthian columns in both places!
