Not the best shot but I just had to include this in my project...
My son has never played baseball except in the yard with my husband. He's always swam or played soccer. His father was a big baseball star in his youth but for whatever reason Gage has never joined until tonight. We decided last week to see if it was possible and lucky for us he was allowed on a team 3 weeks late. Tonight he met his coach and teammates and played for the first time (no practice)! I was so nervous for him but he did so well! This was his first at bat and he hit the ball over second base. Unfortunately his pop fly was caught but it was still a successful first attempt. He left the game happy and excited for his next game on Saturday. I, on the other hand, left frozen to the bone. In fact, I am still freezing!!

i loved playing softball all of my school life. after I had my first daughter I played at a church picnic and broke my arm. my hair dresser was at bat and he was a strong hitter and the ball was going so fast... but he gave me a free perm as he felt so badly...
This is a great action shot. I played rounders (a summer game here where the bat looks like the baseball one and the batter runs like in baseball) and hockey in winter (field). As a family we love sport and as a teacher I find it builds character.
