Through the Keyhole. by ladymagpie

Through the Keyhole.

An unusual view through a hole in the Minchinhampton Long Stone, an 8ft tall prehistoric stone which originally was a lid to a burial chamber.

I've taken shots of this stone before but not from this angle. It is said that mothers would pass their babies through the hole to cure them off, or prevent them from getting, rickets, smallpox, whooping cough and "other infantile diseases"

Lovely framing and texture. There's a marked decrease in rickets, small pox and whooping cough so maybe there's something to this :)
