So how many of you know the Cockney slang, or the old language spoken in Old London. For example:
"Trouble and Strife" means the wife. I fancy a "Rosy Lee" is a cup of tea, and finally one that I have used is I'm going for a "Jimmy Riddle", or in other words I'm going for a piddle. (naughty me).
So my captures of the fruit, again in my friends garden, is also related to the Cockney slag.
What's up the "Apple and Pairs". I bet you have worked out it means, what's up the stairs. The first season of fruit has been incredible, even one of the branches snapped off because of the weight of fruit. You just couldn't "Adam & Eve It", believe it.
Nice captures...... are you sure your friends don't own a garden centre haha ! Would you Adam & Eve it ........ They have so many delightful things growing in their garden !!
Love your inspirational lesson on Cockney slang :) We don't use these sayings here in Aussie, and our slang isn't as creative as yours - fair dinkum :)
